My name is Emily London, I'm R29's London Editor, and I live in London. It goes without saying that I am a passionate, card-carrying member of the all-things-London club, which is a good thing since I've lived in this city for more decades than I care to remember.
As much as I've felt at home in all six zones of this metropolis, there are a couple of defining moments that have cemented my affection for the place, and made me feel like a true Londoner. From swimming in my local, open-air lido and navigating my way home on the night bus from Leicester Square, to knowing where to get a pint at 7 a.m. — all these hard-won nuggets of information make me feel like I really do run this town (albeit in a teeny, tiny way).

For those of you who want to know the other markers that define a Londoner's life, look no further than the good folks at Buzzfeed, who have cleverly assimilated 21 "moments" that all of us who live and dwell in this city know all too well. One word of advice: If you ever see me at Old Street tube station, please don't ask which is the exit for the Moorfield Eye Hospital. I'm still trying to work that one out for myself. (Buzzfeed)
