The Field (Full Band), JDH & Dave P: 285 Kent, October 3, $20
Fixed is celebrating its ninth anniversary with a special show from Axel Willner's loop-obsessed project, The Field. Willner will be joined by a full band, which should breathe new life into his already gorgeous arrangements.
Thursday, October 3, 11:45 p.m., 285 Kent, 285 Kent Avenue (between S. First and S. Second streets); Brooklyn; 718-599-1450.
Lorde: Warsaw, October 3, $25
Sure, you could go see the world's fastest-rising pop star at one of her Webster Hall dates this week, or you could wait a couple of days and check her out in Greenpoint at Warsaw — the unlikely rock venue inside the Polish National Home (their motto: "Where pierogies meet punk!"). Your choice, of course.
Thursday, October 3, 9 p.m., Warsaw, 261 Driggs Avenue (at Flatbush Avenue); Brooklyn; 718-387-0505.
Blondie, X: Roseland Ballroom, October 3 and 4, $49.50
Debbie Harry hits Roseland Ballroom twice this week with inimitable Los Angeles punk rockers X in tow. Blondie's been doing it for so long now, it's tempting to take it for granted. But seeing the band break out classics like "Atomic" and "Call Me" are thrilling in ways that haven't aged a day.
Thursday and Friday, October 3 and 4, 8 p.m., Roseland Ballroom, 239 W. 52nd Street (between Broadway and Eighth Avenue); 212-257-0200.
