Do we sound excited about this gorgeous makeup look from Violet Grey? That's because we are — did you see that electric purple amazingness? Let this be your proof that sometimes (when it comes to makeup, at least), bolder is better. To create this smoky-hazy violet cat-eye, makeup artist Beau Nelson started with black liner, smudged with abandon directly into the top and bottom lashlines. Next, he layered on a metallic purple cream shadow, followed by ultra-bright MAC Pigment in Violet.
The finished look is certainly a statement, yet it's free from any hard edges — a feature that makes it surprisingly wearable. All that's required to finish the look is a swipe of mascara — your fierce stare will speak for itself.
