We've always thought you're a phenomenal writer. Has the idea of writing a book always been at the back of your mind?
"Oh, thanks! I'd say more like the front of my mind — yes."
What was the process like while you were writing? Did you start from scratch with the essays, or did some of them start as seeds in your blog?
"I started from scratch with all the essays. It's obviously very different from writing a blog post in that the stories are longer, need to be a bit more anecdotal, and require a sense of evergreen that doesn't really apply to daily blog entries/articles. In the end, it's very good practice for bettering your writing skills."
Looking back at the early days of Man Repeller, how has your sense of style evolved or changed, if at all?
"I think I've just become a bit more streamlined about the way in which I outfit myself. That's probably more a testament to fashion's changing trajectory, though."
What trends are on the horizon that you're ready to tackle?
"Flat footwear and sheer overlays."
What's your favorite outfit of all time?
"I don't think I've seen it yet."
"No, I came on a school trip once, and my brother studied at GW. I'm only around for like, 24 hours, so I'm not quite sure I'll have much time to explore."
