Rooney Mara, Amy Adams, Olivia Wilde — what more could you ask for? Yes, while you were lounging around in your Snuggie last night, some of Hollywood's loveliest ladies took it upon themselves to get all gussied up and step out for the premiere of the new Spike Jonze movie, Her.
The New York Film Festival red carpet is a tough one to dress for. Not quite Oscars-fancy, but not as laid-back as Tribeca, celebs have a tall order to strike the right note. While Mara went all out with a full-length gown, Adams kept it mid-length, and Wilde brought out the big guns in dramatic wide-leg pants. All told, a gorgeous parade of gorgeousness. Pants like that could go matronly fast, but with her tall frame and more laid-back hair, this outfit has an awesome, slightly '70s vibe. Props to Wilde for mixing volume on top and on bottom!

As usual, Rooney Mara chose a dark, gothic-chic dress. It's worth noting that her red-tinted smoky eye is perfectly on-trend, too. With a leather bodice and pleated, pastel skirt all rolled into one, this Proenza Schouler beauty defies categorization, lying somewhere between sweet and sinister. Just like the actress herself — see what we did there?

Adams is definitely riding the vampy, Americana wave from her role in American Hustle. Sexy but polished, with plenty of cleavage.
