Tip #1: Let it all grow out.
“Put the tweezers down and give your brows a chance to thicken up," says Crooks. "The trend going forward is big, thick, manicured brows, so do whatever it takes to make sure you get there." She notes that products like RevitaBrow are a godsend for those of us who are less-than-blessed in the brow department.
Tip #2: Shape your stuff.
You’ve got your beautiful, bushy brows. Now what? Crooks recommends first holding a pencil vertically alongside your nose; this is where your brow should start. Then, extend the pencil from the corner of your nose to the corner of your eye, where your brow should end. Finally, find the highest point of your brow arch by holding a pencil on the tip of your nose and crossing the iris of your eye. The highest point of your arch should be where the pencil meets your eyebrow. “Mark these three points and connect the dots,” says Crooks. “You always want to create two parallel lines that intersect at the end.”
Tip #3: Work what you got.
“If you have thin brows but the shape is correct, it is really easy to bulk up the brows and make them appear thicker by using the right product,” says Crooks, who uses her own BrowGal pencils as her main go-to. Start by brushing your brows upward. Then, create shape by using small, hair-like strokes with a sharp brow pencil, working from beginning to end, top to bottom. Make sure to use strokes that go up and through the brow, Crooks says, which will create a more natural look.
