The Sartorialist Heads To D.C., Gives Us Major Closet Panic

It’s hard to believe that Scott Schuman has been documenting stylish scene-stealers for nearly eight years now. But even in an age where anyone with an iPhone can be considered a street-style photog, The Sartorialist is still one of our go-to sites whenever we're in need of inspiration. Lucky for us, Schuman is heading to the District next weekend as part of Art in the Mix, the launch event for Brookland’s Monroe Street Market. Following hot on the heels of Leandra Medine, DKNY's Aliza Licht, and Bryan Boy — who've all got D.C. on the brain this month, Schuman will host a book signing and Q&A for his loyal followers during a daylong fest.
For our part, we'd like to know about any favorite outfits he's snapped and any intel he might have on how Garance manages to look so gorgeous all the time. In addition to Schuman’s signing, the Art in the Mix Festival will include a pop-up beer garden, live music, an opportunity to paint with ArtJamz, and a showcase of works by 27 local artists, so you can bet on plenty of entertainment while you wait to get your book autographed. Oh, and in case you're stressing about what to wear to this little soiree, you might want to revisit our guide to getting shot by The Sartorialist.
When: Saturday, October 26, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Where: Monroe Street Market, 716 Monroe Street NE; no phone. RSVP here.
