There is only a month to go before the first J.Crew store opens in London. Hooray! Jenna Lyons, the brand's creative director and general style ambassador, was in the city for a teeny-tiny 11 hours to meet with Central Saint Martins MA students to discuss the knitwear designs that one winning student will see go on sale at the brand's flagship Regent street store.
When Lyons wasn't imparting her wisdom to the students, she took time to divulge to Vogue UK, who she considers to be the best dressed Londoner. Her top pick was Samantha Cameron, closely followed by Caroline Issa. Interesting. As Lyons explains,"Samantha Cameron is beautiful and she seems effortless…She isn't fussy and never overdresses. She's elegant in herself. Especially here, being in that world, where you're thrust in a very formalized way of dressing, she's found a nice niche for herself, which must be challenging to do."

We can vouch for Cameron's elegance; the outfit she wore to the Christopher Kane show this season was a testament to minimalism and the power of a midi skirt. Though, we would be interested to see who else was on Lyons's long list when it comes to best dressed Londoners.
