NBC Gives Two More Shows The Axe

It's been a bit of a rough go for a few of fall's newest TV shows. While some of our favorite shows have developed quite the following, it can be tricky for programs to get off their feet. And, it seems those growing pains proved a bit too much, as NBC has cancelled two shows from the fall lineup. Ironside, the cop drama starring Blair Underwood, and Welcome To The Family, a series about a young couple's unexpected pregnancy, have both been cut.
The final episodes will air next Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, and their time slots will be replaced by a whole mix of programming — namely Dateline, holiday-themed Saturday Night Live specials, and extra episodes of The Voice. We can't say we're happy that these shows are no more, but we do particularly enjoy those SNL specials. (NBC)
