Google’s Mystery Barge Will Be A Fancy Showroom For Fancy Products

What's that mystery structure Google's constructing out in the San Francisco Bay, you ask? In a straight-up-Diddy move, the tech giant is building a VIP, invite-only floating showroom for its coolest Google X products. There, you'll find things like Google Glass, self-driving cars, and so on. CNET discovered the connection between Google and the four-story building last week, and reported the story immediately. Soon after, the Coast Guard scuttled over to check it out. Sadly, officials can't tell us much about the barge, made entirely of shipping containers, because they had to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to even board. Google has a similar barge idling in a harbor in Portland, ME, also connected to the covert Google X project. Presumably, that means important East Coast residents will also get the chance to do some offshore hob-knobbing without having to shell out for a cross-country flight. Because, you know, they're worried about that kind of expenditure.

So, that should answer any looming questions about the tech company's impending world domination, and finally confirm that co-founder Sergey Brin is indeed gunning to become the real-life version of Tony Stark in Ironman.
