Rad Or Bad: Camilla Belle’s Intense Baby Bangs

Okay, you know that we love Camilla Belle and basically everything she does, beauty-wise. (Those brows, man. They make everything good.) But, you have to admit that there is a whole lot going on right here. Last night at the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art 2013 Art+Film Gala, Belle wore her new baby bangs with a wavy, piece-y bob — pretty risky in itself, but the gamut doesn't stop there. Next, Belle added a hyper-violet lipstick. Also awesome and very on-trend. The moment where it may have gone overboard? Belle added a shimmery silver eyeshadow at her lashlines.

It's a small, subtle detail — but one that makes a major difference. The shiny hair, the shiny eyeshadow, and the shiny lipstick add up to a whole lot of...shine, and we're not sure how we feel about it. On one hand, we applaud Belle for taking not one, but three major beauty risks. We love a woman who can just go for it (especially when there is purple lipstick involved). On the other hand, we have a hunch that if Belle removed just one of the three beauty statements, her look would have actually looked much more modern Louise Brooks.
