V.C. Andrews' Flowers In The Attic is making a comeback to the small screen, thanks to Lifetime's upcoming remake. The novel about the Dollanganger family, sold over 40 million copies when it was first released and while the 1987 movie version didn't captivate audiences, this recent remake may serve to reignite the passion we all had for this fairly bonkers family.
Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka is playing Cathy Dollanganger, while Mason Dye plays her brother/lover Chris. Heather Graham is the children's mother, Corrine, and Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn steps into the role of wicked-witch grandmother, Olivia. And, before you say anything, this TV adaptation is faithful to the novel's plotline. Even the most taboo aspects of it. As Dye says, "Will there be incest? Yes…We're staying very true to the book." You've got to wait till January 18 next year to see the flick for yourself but till then click through to the watch the trailer and let us know if you also shared the book with all your school chums.
