Will Alice In Wonderland 2 Be The Same Without Tim Burton?

Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp gave stand-up performances in 2010's Alice in Wonderland, but it's our humble opinion that director Tim Burton truly made the film. No one else could have created the wacky, creepy, and slightly hilarious world of Wonderland quite like he did. But, now, someone else is going to give it a try. According to The Huffington Post, the man taking the director's chair for the next installment will be James Bobin.
Despite Burton's absence, though, all of our favorite characters will return for the movie's sequel, tentatively titled Alice In Wonderland 2, with Depp and Wasikowska reprising their roles as the Mad Hatter and Alice. No plot details have been divulged so far, but since the original working title was Through The Looking Glass, we can guess it will follow the book's story line at least a little bit.
When it comes to Bobin, the English director co-created Flight of the Concords and also helmed 2011's The Muppets, so he certainly seems up to the task. But, we must admit that we're still a little bit skeptical. Alice 2 is slated to hit theaters May 2016, so we'll just have to wait and see. (Huffington Post)
