Much ado was made when Ben Affleck was announced as the next Batman, and now we've got a new superhero to ponder. Batman Vs. Superman, the much-talked-about follow up to Man of Steel, will also feature Wonder Woman. And, Deadline just broke the news that she'll be played by none other than Gal Gadot. She's most recognizable for her roles in the Fast & The Furious franchise, but she's also done stints on Entourage, Date Night, and Knight & Day.
While we already know she's beautiful — and can totally hold her own in an action flick — Zack Snyder is also playing up all of her qualifications. "Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe," he said in a statement. "Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role." Gadot certainly has some huge shoes to fill (it's not easy to follow Lynda Carter, after all), so we're looking forward to seeing how it all pans out. (The Verge)
