Lest we forget, there is more to music than Beyoncé today. We know, we know, you're probably re-watching all 18 videos and practicing your bedroom smize to the naughty tracks, but take a break! Lorde casually dropped a new track, too — and it's great.
"No Better" quietly crept onto the interwebs a few hours after BEYONCÉ crashed iTunes. It's a continuation of her fabulous debut LP, Pure Heroine. Lush synths bloom into a tricked-out vibe-fest of a track that finds Lorde channeling her fly-on-the-wall approach to growing up. It's summery, yet distant; the perfect pick-me-up-out-of-my-Beyoncé-high song. "No Better" is a maturation of sound that's not drastic, per se, but different enough to show Lorde's not a one-hit wonder.
