Penélope Cruz Thinks Breastfeeding Is Addictive

Penélope Cruz is known for her sensational acting abilities, beautiful looks, and a singular accent that's seriously upped the ante for Nespresso commercials. But, in this January's Allure, the Oscar winner opens up about something...shall we say, a little more close to her heart. She talks motherhood, family (including hot hubby Javier Bardem), her friendship with Salma Hayek, and breastfeeding.
One thing Cruz does not talk about? Dieting. "I'm supposed to get extra calories because breastfeeding you burn, like, an extra 500 a day," she told Allure. "I was breastfeeding my son 13 months, and I plan to do the same with my daughter. [Nursing] is addictive. It's hard when the day comes when you have to stop."

The Spanish stunner also revealed that family is, and will remain, her number one priority. "I always knew I wanted a family because of the way I grew up," Cruz told the magazine, recounting happy childhood memories. "In my house every Sunday, everybody was cleaning the house. There was always music, and everybody was dancing, sometimes naked, around the house. Not hippie, but very free."
And, looking at the star's cover photo, with those voluminous, face-framing locks, luminous skin, and smokey eyes, it's clear that motherhood agrees with her.
The January issue of Allure hits newsstands on December 24, but for now, click through to see pictures of Cruz's phenomenal cover shoot. Oh, and did we mention it was shot by Mario Testino? (Allure)
