Seems the universe isn't at all satisfied with Adele’s glittering fame and vast fortune. The British superstar just landed herself the prestigious MBE medal — an award honoring British citizens — at the tender age of 25. Prince Charles presented Adele with the medal during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, December 19.
The singer looked resplendent in a midnight-blue Stella McCartney fit-‘n’-flare dress. Wearing a wide smile, she casually chatted with the prince, as he pinned the medal to her dress. The famously laid-back star seemed to be overcome by a fit of giggles after she curtseyed and walked away with her award.

Adele accessorized her look with a veiled Philip Treacy headband and glistening royal blue nails (how fitting). The nail art nearly stole the show (and our hearts): Tiny crowns with red stones decorated her ring fingers. We think Queen Elizabeth would approve.
The Oscar winner described the prestigious ceremony as a “very posh” affair, telling the Daily Mail, “It was an honor to be recognized and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people.”
Although Adele enjoys unmatched success and global admiration — along with a laundry list of awards and accomplishments — she has understandably avoided the limelight since giving birth to her son, Angelo, last October. For now, though, the sensational artist is tucked away in a studio working on her new album, the follow up to the best-selling 21. We have high hopes for this one. (Daily Mail)
