Have The Kardashians Become Magazine-Cover Kryptonite?

People on the street might accept that Kris Jenner could, by some stroke of the imagination, be named Time's Person of the Year. Millions of people are invested in Khloé and Lamar's divorce. Riccardo Tisci can't get enough. And, yet, nobody seems to want to buy a magazine with a Kardashian on the cover.
While Kim Kardashian's CR Fashion Book cover was one of our personal highlights, supermarket weeklies tell another story. “It’s over," an anonymous magazine publisher says. "The fatigue factor has really set in. None of the Kardashians, either alone or together, are selling.
For instance, an issue of Us Weekly featuring a bikini-clad Kim on the cover sold fewer than 400,000 copies, well below its 500,000 batting average. Similarly, Kardashian-focused covers for Star, In Touch, and Life & Style have also suffered from low circulation numbers.
Is it possible that we've just stopped caring about Kris and Bruce's split? That we can't tell which Jenner girl is which? That we're still licking our wounds from Kim's last waste-of-time wedding extravaganza to muster interest for another? Or, should we just blame it all on Kanye West and call it a day? (Page Six)
