Redheaded beauty Karen Elson never fails to charm us with her sartorial taste, both on and off duty. Between making the rounds on the runways of Jason Wu and Miu Miu and gracing the pages of Vogue and practically every other glossy you can imagine, it's quite unsurprising that the fiery model has built up a wardrobe that's totally next level. And, luckily, you can stop merely coveting her impeccable ensembles from a distance and actually scoop up one of her vintage gems for yourself. Yep, Elson opened up her wardrobe to a number of contemporary designers, who've now refashioned her pieces for a charity trunk sale on Moda Operandi.
Beginning today and running through January 12, you can shop 20 vintage pieces from Elson's and her filmmaker friend Liz Goldwyn's archive, with all proceeds going to Dress For Success. Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, and Olivier Theyskens are just a few of the notable designers who have helped turn this retro wardrobe into a collection of one-of-a-kind creations for the benefit. Think a yellow jumper bejeweled by Atelier Swarovski or a floral-embellished top covered in rhinestones by Ms. Burch herself. The profits from Karen and Liz's closet, named Vintage Vanguard, will assist disadvantaged women in need of attire and guidance to build a professional career. Read a bit more about the cause ahead, and be sure to shop the unique pieces before they find new homes for good. (Telegraph)
