Léa Seydoux Proves That Emerald & Orange Are Actually The Warmest Colors

Not even the color wheel was ready for Léa Seydoux's red-carpet creation last night at the National Board of Review Awards Gala. Dressed in head-to-toe Prada, the Blue Is the Warmest Color star absolutely stunned in a three-hue outfit. Of course, tossing tints together willy-nilly can sometimes lead to a too-busy and way-too-confusing ensemble, but that was far from the case here.
Seydoux paired a lustrous, emerald top with a bright, tangerine pencil skirt embellished with a cluster of jewels at the hips. But, while colorblocking can be tricky enough with two shades, the up-and-coming French actress also completed her look with a purple pump. Purple. We wouldn't typically think there's an instance in which green, orange, and violet could play so well together, but alas, Seydoux is the perfect peacemaker for these otherwise clashing shades. We're officially convinced that blue is not the warmest color — at least as far as this red carpet is concerned.
