If we're being honest, only a couple of stars noticeably switched up their hair game on last night's Golden Globes red carpet. Besides Kate Mara's amazing new blonde locks (which we'll surely be discussing with our personal glam squads), we sincerely love that Zosia Mamet decided to bunk conservative Hollywood red-carpet standards in order to serve up a choppy new hairstyle. It's short, fresh, and everything we wanted from the star but didn't know we needed.
They always say it's not good to make a major change before a big life event. Instead, Mamet was so easy-breezy about the Golden Globes, she not only took her hair up a notch, but more than a few inches, as well. Also, please note the ombre tips: They're magical.

Let's also talk about her amazing makeup, courtesy of Dior Beauty's Sara Glick, who served up a defined, black smoky eye with glowing skin and a nude lip to go with the star's new look. If you want the three-layered eye Glick gave Mamet, first line the eyes top and bottom with Dior Crayon Eyeliner Waterproof in Trinidad Black (#094), then layer Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow in Khol (#096) on top of the waterproof liner with a small liner brush, and go for broke by defining the cat-eye with DiorShow Art Pen. Curl your lashes and add a few coats of Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara in black for a smoky eye with five-alarm-fire appeal.
We kind of thought ombre hair had seen its last days, but in this choppy new style, we may be rethinking that. Let's see if this is the start of a whole new beginning for dip-dyed hairstyles.
