Spring is coming, and with it, so is the eagerly awaited fourth season of Game of Thrones. And, judging by HBO's ramping up of their promotional campaign, it's not that far off either. After last week's release of the first trailer, here comes a scintillating peek behind-the-scenes of a season that promises to be larger in breadth and scope than anything we've ever seen on television.
Although most of the footage is pretty innocuous in terms of revealing plot details, it still feels good to see fresh images of our favorite characters in action. There's Arya practicing her swordplay, Jamie Lannister and his prosthetic hand, and of course, the first images of the wedding of the year. It also serves as a reminder of just how impressive a feat the show's production really is. The filming of season four lasted half a year and used six different directors to helm 600 pages of scripts, which actor Peter Dinklage calls his favorite of the series.
Only readers of the book have an idea of what's in store for the upcoming season. But, GoT is in its prime, and its creators continually find new ways to outdo themselves. And, if their goal is to somehow top last season's Red Wedding, well then we're all in for a treat. The fantasy epic returns April 6. Check out the featurette below. (Uproxx)
