This is not a news flash: Posing for a Vogue cover isn't small potatoes. And, while the thought may make us feel a bit flushed, we're not the only ones getting nervous. As it turns out, Lena Dunham — the glossy's latest and perhaps most controversial cover star — called in some serious backup to help her nail those pictures. Yep, she reached out to Hamish Bowles, Vogue's editor-at-large.
What you might not have been able to tell from the photographs was that Dunham took a very Method approach to posing, as she shows us in this video. The actress/writer/director channels those ladies who are masters at striking poses: Cindy, Naomi, Kate, Veruschka, Twiggy. Watch on as Lena and Hamish tap into their inner supers, one after the other after the other. And, it all happens from the comforts of Dunhams's bedroom. (Yes, adorableness ensues.) (Fashionista)
