Another day, another piece of James Franco movie news. Just yesterday, we showed you the first trailer for the Franco-directed revenge thriller, Child of God; today, we're happy to report that the Franco-produced documentary, Kink, has found a distributor. That's a lot of Franco, people!
Kink, which delves deep into the lives of the employees at the website Kink.com (the world’s largest producer of BDSM) will be distributed in North America by MPI Pictures. Though the film, which marks the directorial debut of Christina Voros, already premiered at last year's Sundance, it took a full year for Franco to land a deal. That kind of struggle is normal for a film about such a subversive subject matter. But, with the runaway success of 50 Shades of Grey, there seems to be a real thirst for further examination into the salacious subculture. Having a movie star of Franco's caliber on board? That certainly doesn't hurt, either. Look for Kink to hit theaters later this summer. For now, check out the trailer below. (Variety)
