Feeny! Fe-he-eeny! We've got some fabulous news on this Friday afternoon. We're all well aware that Topanga, Cory, and the gang are coming back into our lives, but now Disney Channel has ordered a full season of Girl Meets World. That means we'll get at least 21 episodes of the Matthews' antics. Danielle Fishel (a.k.a. Topanga) tweeted the announcement, saying, "Got the great news tonight that #GirlMeetsWorld was picked up for 8 more episodes — a total of 21! Can't wait for everyone to see them all."
The show will follow Cory and Topanga's daughter, Riley, in a story arc of self-discovery and adolescent hijinks similar to the original series. In addition to Fishel and her onscreen hubby, Ben Savage, Rider Strong and Will Friedle are also reprising their roles as Shawn Hunter and Eric Matthews. No other comebacks have been announced just yet, but we've still got high hopes that Mr. Feeny will be making at least a few appearances. There's no Girl Meets World premiere date just yet, but look for episodes to start airing later this year. (Entertainment Weekly)
