The Super Bowl is less than a week away, and the anticipation couldn't be any thicker. As the eyes of the world descend on New York, experts are predicting the game to smash the all-time television ratings record, thanks to over a dozen of the most intriguing story lines in recent memory. How will the cold weather affect Peyton Manning? Will Bruno Mars somehow top Beyoncé's epic halftime performance? What on earth will Richard Sherman say next?
Just in case that's not enough to get you excited, the groundbreaking digital music service Rdio has released dueling playlists that will soundtrack the lead up to Sunday. "Go Broncos!" and "Go Seahawks" are 10-track playlists made up of artists from the two cities set to meet on the gridiron. The Denver playlist features Mile High artists like OneRepublic, The Fray, and The Lumineers, while Seattle's playlist stars grunge icons Nirvana, guitar god Jimi Hendrix, and the newly minted Grammy champs Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Rdio users can listen and vote for their favorite playlist to determine which city's music legacy comes out on top. Check out the playlists below. Now, is it Sunday yet?
