Is it too soon to call 2014 the year of Peter Pilotto? Probably not. We've already been buzzing about the house's print-packed collection for Target for weeks. And, now, the design duo behind the U.K. line has just been recognized for its talents in a major way. As reported by British Vogue, Peter Pilotto is the recipient of this year's BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Award. (It's just like the CFDA Awards, except across the pond.)
This honor means that Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos, the line's designers, will receive £200,000 in funding (about $330,000) and a one-year mentorship to help bring the brand to the next level of success and innovation. With a Target collab and this fancy honor under its belt, the seven-year-old line is certainly gaining huge accolades in both high-fashion and mass markets. And, it seems as though it's really carving out a permanent place for itself within the industry. We look forward to many more structured frocks in a kaleidoscope of colors in the future.
