There's her love for J.Crew and Target; her affinity for over-the-knee boots and up-and-coming designers; and her willingness to mom-dance, dunk, and generally goof around. The latest revelation that's upping her cool quotient? Her obsession with ABC's Scandal. That's right — the addictive Kerry Washington vehicle doesn't hit too close to home for the first lady. In fact, it's her guilty pleasure of choice.
Yesterday, MObama told Ryan Seacrest in a radio interview that she started watching the show during her recent trip to Hawaii. "We went to Hawaii, so I had a long flight — so I watched all the seasons," she told Seacrest. "I love Kerry Washington. She is amazing, so it makes the show fun." While we can't say that we'd spend a Hawaiian vacay watching 40 episodes of Scandal, we can totally sympathize with obsessively binge-watching a show when you should be doing something else.
