When you say the words "pressed powder," it usually strikes fear in the hearts of many women. Cakey visages plastered in makeup so dusty it looks like the wearer could disintegrate and blow away does not really sell these products. Well, drop your fear of the powdered stuff, because there's a new formula that's about to give you The Skin Of Your Life.
Style.com reports that Dolce & Gabbana Beauty, which has worked with makeup wunderkind Pat McGrath for many runway seasons now, have collaborated to create a formula that's soon to hit the market and reportedly, will put all other pressed powders to shame. We'll let you read the news story, but if this product does what it says it can do, it could literally change the way all of us look at pressed powder. As in, some of us (raises hand) who never use powder (raises hand again) will start looking to powder as a makeup option (lowers hand, sips coffee.)
When it comes to improving on a classic product, this is most likely the one we're excited for the most. Because when powder is used properly, it can turn a selfie into a Bruce Weber/airbrushed-for-magazine-approved-eyes photo. Which, when they remove limbs is totally wrong, but when your complexion looks flawless and awe-inspiring, is oh, so right. (Style.com)
