This X-Men: Days Of Future Past TV Spot Will Get You Excited For Summer

As snow continues to pound the East Coast, it's becoming increasingly clear: Summer can't come soon enough. And, as if we needed another reason to look forward to the warm weather, FOX has just released the first television spot for the upcoming superhero bonanza X-Men: Days of Future Past. While the Japanese trailer doesn't show a ton of new footage from the film, anything set to Hans Zimmer's iconic "Journey To The Line" is worth watching.
The sweeping anthem was originally written for Terrence Malick's 1998 World War II saga The Thin Red Line, and has since soundtracked some of our favorite trailers, most recently the harrowing first spot for 12 Years a Slave. Here, it provides the backdrop to Wolverine getting ready to time travel, Professor X delivering a speech about the future of mankind, and Mystique getting all weepy-eyed. The Bryan Singer directed blockbuster is expected to set the box office ablaze when it's released on May 23, thanks to a star-studded cast that unites the X-Men from the original films with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class. That's right, folks. Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Ellen Paige, and Anna Paquin are joining forces with Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and James McAvoy to fight a war that will determine the survival of their species. Since we really like their species, here's hoping they win. (Joblo)
