A lot of stuff's been going down at the Sochi Olympics. The opening ceremonies tripped us out. The U.S. won a few gold medals. The toilets, elevators, and hotel rooms caused problems for just about everybody. Oh, and the athletes are spending every waking second on Tinder.
Don't believe us? Just ask Jamie Anderson, the 23-year-old snowboarding champion. She told Us Weekly that the dating app is all the rage among her fellow athletes. "Tinder in the Olympic Village is next level," she said. "It's all athletes! In the mountain village it's all athletes. It's hilarious. There are some cuties on there."
While it might come as a shock to find out that Olympians are spending more time swiping right than they are actually focusing on the games, the Olympic village has long been known to be a hookup haven. Just chalk it up to a lot of hard-bodied people looking to take the edge off.
Of course, there is such a thing as too much Tindering — in fact, Anderson had to delete the app to be able to focus on the task at hand (you know, snowboarding?). "There was a point where I had to be like, OK, this is way too distracting," she told the mag. She ended up winning a gold medal, however, so here's hoping that she celebrated by getting the swipe back in her life. Tinder on. (Us Weekly)
