Melissa McCarthy Cracks Us Up In The First Trailer For Tammy

Is there any situation Melissa McCarthy can't make into a total riot? It appears not. In her latest flick Tammy, the comedienne plays a woman who takes her alcoholic grandmother on an epic road trip after losing her job and finding out that her husband cheated on her. Per usual, McCarthy brings her own special brand of physical comedy and over-the-top hilarity to the role.
McCarthy wrote the script with her husband Ben Falcone, and, because writing and starring wasn't enough for the multi-talented celebrity, she's also taken a producer credit alongside Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. As if those big names weren't enough of a draw, Allison Janney, Susan Sarandon, and Mark Duplass also costar. With a team like that, Tammy has "summer blockbuster" written all over it (it hits theaters July 2, by the way).
In the first teaser below, McCarthy takes a page out of Shia LaBeouf's book and wears a paper bag over her head as she attempts to hold up a fast food restaurant ("Gangster's Paradise" in the background gives her all the street cred she needs). Hijinks ensue, natch. (Variety)
