Jessie J Unleashes Her Inner Violet Femme with Lilac Lipstick

For this morning's moment of awe-inducing beauty, I'd like to submit singer Jessie J from last night's Brit Awards red carpet. Julien MacDonald jumpsuit? Check. Long, elegant hair? Done. But, can we talk about that pastel lilac lipstick?

First of all, I live for celebs who are bold and unusual on the red carpet, so a big up for having the stones to rock something out of the ordinary. (Also, you can't see them here, but there are matching nails in the mix.) It's kind of fun in a black-light-party kind of way. Not to mention, pastels are huge right now.

Here's the issue: If you take all appearance of blood flow from your face, you look dead. Erasing any hue that, you know, mimics life, gives you a corpse-like appearance. It's unfair because a) she's gorgeous, and b) this look took some time to put together. But, all you see is lips and hair. Some pink/blush tones on her face (and perhaps a lot less bronzer) would have helped.
