The future of Hollywood is bright. And no, we're not talking about the Shailene Woodleys and the Michael B. Jordans of the world. We're thinking younger. Much, much younger.
In collaboration with Cinefix, lifestyle portal Mom.me assembled a handful of the cutest kids we ever did see, and filmed them recreating snippets from this year's best picture nominees. There are box-office favorites Gravity, 12 Years a Slave, and American Hustle. And, dark horses, like Dallas Buyers Club, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Captain Phillips, are also represented. We have tiny interpretations of the long shots (Her and Nebraska) which collectively have about zero chance come Oscar night. For some reason, the children decided to ignore Philomena, Harvey Weinstein's only entry into the fray —perhaps because making a 6-year-old girl look like Dame Judi Dench would have required the makeup skills of someone way over budget.

For an awards show that has always wanted to skew younger, it doesn't get much younger than this. We think the Academy should consider inviting these kids to perform their scenes on the big night. See all the cuteness for yourself below. (Laughing Squid)
