We're usually in the "less is more" camp when it comes to hanging art. You see it every day, it dictates the aesthetic of the room, and it's generally the first visual statement to anyone stepping across your threshold.
But, leave it to a celebrity home makeover to make us love more a little more. Domaine editors Estee Stanley and Matt Sanders did quite a number on actress Sophia Bush's Hollywood home. It's everything an idyllic California crash pad should be, with a warm, natural, and airy vibe. And, a den with a serious art wall.
While we're not sure how high her ceiling actually goes, this wall seems to be chockablock to the top with frames. But, instead of feeling cramped with prints so close to the floor, the display adds a cozy and intimate touch to the room. And, rather than your typical, giant, modern paintings next to tiny portraits, they kept sizes consistent and black and white mattings separate.
