London is famous for its fantastic selection of dining options. From Michelin-starred wonders to curbside classics, the options are endless. Last week, South London celebrated yet another opening — but this one is far from your typical eatery. It’s inside Brixton prison, and its staff is made up of inmates currently serving time at Her Majesty's pleasure.
This restaurant is the third of its kind, and it's part of the charity Clink’s initiative to help rehabilitate inmates and provide them with real-world skills and qualifications they can use after their release.
Clink Brixton serves breakfast and lunch five days a week. If you’re interested in checking it out, prepare to jump through some serious security hoops, as all bookings must be made 48 hours in advance, diners must submit fingerprints, and no mobile phones are allowed in the dining area. But, it’s a small price to pay to be a part of this incredible philanthropic venture. And, if the dishes are as good as they look? Well, that's priceless. (CNN)
