We definitely had a chuckle when Lena Dunham told the world she'd been prepping to be on SNL since she was a child. That's so something she would do. Now that we're mere days away from her guest turn on what appears to be her favorite show, we're getting a look at the SNL promos and, guys, they're great.
Dunham lampoons her own show and public persona with aplomb — and with the help of our current favorite cast member, Kate McKinnon. First, there's a massive drug reference. Then, you guessed it, toplessness. Frankly, we'd be sad if there wasn't at least some punchline pointed at Dunham's propensity to bare it all. Finally, Dunham does a few great riffs on Hannah Horvath-style narcissism, self-encouragement, and self doubt. When the duo busts out the "young feminist shuffle," a new dance that all the fourth-wave kids are doing, our minds were made up — the episode's gonna rule.

With McKinnon at her side, Dunham looks like an old pro at sketch comedy. And, having The National as her musical guest is only the icing on the bathtub cupcake.
