Vogue, SNL, and now the April cover of Glamour? Man, Lena Dunham is on a roll. Before the critics start picking on whether or not her shoot was airbrushed, or if the magazine showed enough of her curvy figure, can we just say this? We totally love it.
For starters, it's rare to see ink on the cover of a fashion magazine (not printing ink, we mean), but Glamour opted to showcase Dunham's arm and back tattoos. After all, we've seen them (and more) on Girls, and they're a part of who she is. Secondly, that sleek bob is so chic, and we'll definitely be trying to recreate that feline eyeliner flick this weekend. And, yes, the cover shot shows off her body. Everyone happy?
So that's the cover. Hitting newsstands on March 18, the issue also features some truly spot-on relationship advice from the writer, who is currently dating rocker Jack Antonoff. "[Find] somebody who gives you the space and time you need to do your work," she says. "Somebody who says, 'You couldn’t do anything that would embarrass me. Just be yourself in a way that has integrity, and I’ll be proud of you.' I think women are conditioned to stand by their man and watch them make it to the top, but most men never believe the person they get into a relationship with is going to rise any higher than she was when they met. It takes a very special, evolved person to be able to deal with change within a relationship."
Yep, that's totally going on our mood board. Keep it coming, L-Dun! (Glamour)
