Chelsea Handler is easily one of our favorite funny ladies, and her show on E! has been a guilty pleasure since its debut. But, in a new interview with Paper magazine, the TV host lets it drop that she's working on a Netflix project. Cue the record scratch: Can it be true? Can the multitasking comedian/author/talk-show host also be at work on a series that we can watch whenever, wherever we want? Fingers crossed, though Handler's playing it close to the vest.
In the full interview, she discusses her travel mishaps, her disastrous waitressing career, and her newfound status as a bona fide, rolling-in-the-dough celeb. Handler also chats about her experience at the 2012 Met Ball, where she flouted Anna Wintour's ruling on her motorcycle boots. "I have no idea what the theme was, nor did I care. I know that I wore motorcycle boots under my Roland Mouret gown," Handler told Paper. "I think it was a Roland Mouret, and Anna Wintour was like, 'She cannot wear motorcycle boots.' I'm like, 'Well then I'll wear them so I can guarantee never getting invited again.'" We have to hand it to Handler— she's got serious moxie, which will come in handy when producing her (please let it be true!) very own Netflix show. (New York Magazine)
