Let's just admit that this is really Pharrell Williams' world — we just happen to live in it. From copious awards to successful fashion labels, he's slaying the entertainment industry, not to mention killing us softly with his serious style. (His Vivienne Westwood hat at the Grammys, kids? Let's talk about it.) Well, good news for those of us who want to steal a note of his signature swagger: He just signed a fragrance deal with Comme des Garçons.
WWD reports that Girl (also the moniker of his most recent album) is a fragrance for both men and women, and it marks the first such partnership with a musician for the design house and its head designer, Rei Kawakubo. Evidently, creative powerhouse Williams came in knowing exactly how he wanted the scent to smell. Sigh. Yep, we love a man who knows exactly what he wants, too.
We can't wait to experience the fragrance because, frankly, we can also imagine the bottle is bound to have serious vanity appeal. (Again, the hat, people.) More details are forthcoming this spring, with Girl scheduled to hit shelves in September of this year.(WWD)
