We love ourselves a good theme — and, apparently, Zoë Kravitz does, too. The actress/singer/model took to the L.A. premiere of Divergent rocking a beauty look that was, well...divergent in a number of ways. Not only was her makeup a red-carpet-norm-defying breath of fresh air, but it, too, literally diverged. Go ahead, take a closer look at Kravitz's peepers and prepare to bask in the glory that is her two-toned, off-white-and-pewter cat-eye.
Needless to say, we're big fans of this bold beauty move. And, we can't imagine a more appropriate premiere for this groundbreaking look. Divergent is all about bravery, taking risks, and going against the grain — all of which we strive to embody in our own beauty adventures.

That said, we've got the scoop on the products used to bring this look to life (and how to make it work for you, too). Chanel makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua mixed the lightest shadow (a pretty, shimmer-y shade reminiscent of Kravitz' sparkly Martin Katz earrings) from Chanel's Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Variation with rose water before applying it over lids and around the inner eyes. Using the darkest shade from the same quad, Yoshimoto Bua swept color below the eyes and upward to meet the lighter color on the top lids. A thin line of Chanel Automatic Liquid Eyeliner in Noir above the upper lashes pulled it all together.
We applaud Kravitz for her bold foray into boundary-breaking red-carpet beauty — by sticking to a neutral color palette, she takes a bold technique and makes it surprisingly wearable. What do you think about this two-toned look?
