Happy Vernal Equinox, everybody! We've made it through the craziest winter, and now it's time to enjoy spring in all its brightly colored flowers and products glory. Polar vortex, what? In order to help you move into the joys of warmer weather, feel free to get your hands on as many items as possible from the bright-and-beautiful new Shu Uemura collaboration with Japanese photographer and film director Mika Ninagawa. It's the ultimate mood booster.
Ninagawa, a fashion insider favorite whose solo show Mika Ninagawa: Earthly Flowers, Heavenly Colors set records in her native Japan for the highest number of visitors for a photo exhibition in the country's history, is known for her vivid images and use of exquisite color. This collaboration features makeup, nail stickers, skin care, and lashes (because a girl's gotta have lashes) in four separate Ninagawa-designed "wonderlands" of packaging: Melting Sweet Dream (floral with candies and butterflies), Forbidden Fruits (a passionate garden of Eden with "evil" butterflies), Singing Forest (a dreamscape with fresh ivy and wild mushrooms), and Curiosity (an enchanted carnival).
The collection marks the third such collaboration for Shu Uemura and another such adventure for Ninagawa, who's also partnered with Céline and mastermind JAPAN. You'll see some old favorites in the collaboration (the cult-favorite cleansing oils) along with some new favorites, like those swirled blush duos you see above and lashes adorned with lovely stars. Click through and get to shopping, as Shu Uemura's products are only sold online, and, like spring, once it's gone, you'll get the sads.
