The first trailer for the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past left us feeling kind of hollow. No Peter Dinklage as the main villain Bolivar Trask, no giant sentinels in action, and not nearly enough Jennifer Lawrence. In the just-released second trailer for the superhero saga, Marvel rectifies all that, and then some.
Not only do we get our first glimpse of Trask and his army of giant mutant-killing robots, but we learn more about what brings the X-Men from the original films together with their younger counterparts. Apparently, it's to stop the world from going all Judgment Day on us. We also see a lot more of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Michael Fassbender as a young Magneto, and Lawrence as Mystique in all her shape-shifting glory. Even Halle Berry makes an appearance as Storm, squashing early rumors that the actress had been cut from the film entirely. Original X-Men helmer Bryan Singer is back to direct the cavalcade of movie stars in what looks like another surefire hit for the Marvel movie factory.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past hits theaters May 21.
