Okay, let us get you up to speed, because this can get a little confusing. Remember that Rolling Stone cover controversy that had us all wondering what was up with Drake? The rapper was miffed that the mag decided to dedicate it's front page to Philip Seymour Hoffman at the last minute. Drake was also upset that a quote leaked in which ol' Dreezy threw some shade at Kanye West.
Well, it turns out that his interview with the mag managed to get under the skin of a few more people — namely Jay Z. And, it's our professional opinion that you never want to mess with Hov. The quote that ticked off Mr. Carter went like this: "It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references! I would love to collect at some point, but I think the whole rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny."
Ouch. So, in a move of (slightly) good-natured retaliation, Jay Z and pal Jay Electronica remixed Drake's "We Made It," and included a little jab at Drizzy himself. "Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk," raps Jay. "Silly me rappin' bout that shit that I really bought." So, there you have it folks. Listen to the full track below and get ready for Drake's response. (Vulture)
