Watch The New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer & Prepare To Be Shell-Shocked

Everyone's favorite pizza-eating, crime-fighting, anthropomorphic amphibians are back. In a very big way.
The new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hit the web today, and shows our heroes in a half shell like we've never seen them before. They're big, they're angry, and did we mention they're big? We grew up watching the original cartoon, and later marveled when they first hit the big screen in the '90s, where they were brought to life via clunky animatronics. To see them fully realized using the power of CGI is at once thrilling and terrifying. After all, they're giant mutant turtles, and their mentor is a huge sewer rat. This is the stuff of nightmares.

But, add in some snappy wisecracks, a moral obligation to the city that fears them, and a stunning newswoman-turned-sidekick named April O'Neil (Megan Fox), and we have ourselves some heroes. The real threat here is Shredder (William Fichtner) who, based on this trailer, turns Times Square into rubble. With disaster-loving producer Michael Bay at the helm, we'd expect nothing less.
Find out if Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael can save The Big Apple when TMNT hits theaters on May 16.
