As intense Game of Thrones fans, we'd be lying to you if we said we'd never thought "mmm" when a group of the show's characters sits down to bicker over a meal of wild boar, fresh grapes, goat's milk, cheese, and mead. Or, at least, we've been very curious about it all. If you've ever wondered what a Westeros-style dinner tastes like, you're not alone.
New York restaurant Louro is hosting a six-course Game of Thrones-themed dinner to celebrate the season four premiere. Chef David Santos has whipped up a menu reminiscent of your favorite characters. How do you feel about a Daenerys Targaryen "Dragon Egg" (an emu egg paired with wild mushrooms and asparagus)? Our other favorites include "Arya and the Hound," (a bacon-wrapped monkfish clam chowder) and a venison lomo with grain and wild greens salad for Jon Snow.
The dinner will be served on April 7 and April 8 at 7 p.m. The meal is fit — and priced — for a king at $75 per person. But, part of us thinks you can't really put a price on the bragging rights that come with such a meal. Check out the full menu here.
Louro, 142 W. 10th Street (between Waverly Place and Greenwich Avenue); 212-206-0606.
