We've seen more than a few boundary-crossing outfits on the red carpet over the years. And — without pointing fingers — they so often feel a bit cheesy, costume-y, and obvious. But, for a BDSM-inspired ensemble to look cool, not contrived, we may need to take some advice from Diane Kruger. While the actress has worn a range of looks, from flowing frocks (à la Prabal Gurung), ladylike styles (courtesy of Chanel), and milkmaid braids for past red-carpet appearances, she switched it up a bit for the FX Fargo screening. Hey, if leather lacing and a skin-tight bodysuit doesn't say Fargo, we're not sure what does.
The Zuhair Murad onesie is not exactly for the faint of heart. Its fit mimics that of a Catwoman costume, and the body-contouring lacing is much more sexy time than press time. But, that's no reason to keep it in the bedroom. After all, with a combination of the garment's strong-shoulder silhouette and loose-fit pants — plus, Kruger's styling of simple black heels; minimal, metallic bag; and a sexy, but not-so-sleek, updo — there's no confusing (well, less confusing) this look for one reserved for a private audience.
