We may not all miss dorm life and class wait lists, but that's not to say we wouldn't revisit our student roots. And, with the Savannah College of Arts and Design kicking off its annual SCADstyle series tonight with special guest Prabal Gurung, it seems like a perfect time to re-enroll — figuratively speaking. The designer will sit down for a discussion with CEO of the CFDA Steven Kolb to fill us in on his career, provide his perspective on the industry at large, and his own philosophies on style. With a clientele roster that reads more like an Oscars guest list, this is a man we'd listen to any day. Plus, to have your creations worn by both major American and British influencers alike (yes, the FLOTUS and Kate Middleton) doesn't hurt his sartorial cred either. Here's a small teaser of what the Nepalese designer has to say.

Gurung is just one of many fashion heavy hitters scheduled for the series, which includes Alexander Wang, Eddie Borgo, and R29’s own editor-in-chief, Christene Barberich moderating a design and digital media panel. The series — described as a “celebration of style and design” — spans both of SCAD’s Georgia campuses (Savannah and Atlanta) and runs through Thursday. Even if you can’t make it, you still have the best seat in the house class from the comfort of your own desk/couch/bed tonight at 6 p.m. EST. Watch the stream — and maybe even take some notes — below.
