The Trailer For True Blood‘s Final Season Is Here And It’s Chilling

This summer, the townsfolk of Bon Temps, Louisiana will ride off into the sunset, as HBO's vampire saga True Blood comes to a close. Just don't expect them to go quietly.
The first trailer for the hit show's seventh and final season hit the web today, and by the looks of it, no one is safe. There are threats everywhere: infected vampires, government abandonment, Anna Paquin's southern accent. Though the trailer doesn't reveal much, we do get the sense that things in Sookie Stackhouse's world goes completely apocalyptic. Perhaps this season's actual title should be True Blood: The Walking Undead. But, we don't want to make any assumptions, because if there's one thing Alan Ball's opus has proven to be over the years, it's unpredictable. One thing we do know for sure, however: There will be blood.
True Blood's seventh season premieres June 22 on HBO.
