He's got his dad's looks and his mom's ability to move product. So what if Prince George is still in diapers?
The nine-month-old heir to the British royal throne appears to have inherited mother Kate Middleton's trendsetting ability. Ladies aren't just racing to the shops to grab the latest L.K. Bennett or DVF frock worn by the Duchess of Cambridge. They're grabbing up the adorable little sweater sets and rompers favored by her son.
“Every mother, especially the British ones, dream of dressing their children like the royal baby,” Christine Innamorato, the creative director of children's clothing retailer Bonpoint, tells the The New York Times. “He might only be nine months old, but Prince George is already a trendsetter, just like his mother.”

Indeed, childrenswear designers and retailers have been reaping the benefits ever since the scene-stealing prince embarked on his rather dapper tour of New Zealand and Australia. Designer Rachel Riley's sailboat dungarees sold out online within hours after George was photographed wearing them Down Under. He also donned shorts, a polo shirt, and cardigan from the designer, an endorsement that she calls "life-changing."
“We’ve had celebrity customers before, and we’ve also had royal customers before, but I don’t think we’ve ever had anyone before quite as high profile as Prince George,” she tells the Times. “Being on such a high-profile baby is very good for business.”
Sadly, they're not so great for Mom and Dad's wallet. Funny how you never see that baby drooling on his cashmere knits or getting spinach puree all over his new seersucker shorts. (The New York Times)
